Enabling Inclusive Education
Teachers around the world are dedicated to ensuring that no student is left behind. But students with disabilities – especially undiagnosed challenges – are far more likely to fall behind in school. Using a simple screening tool optimized for use on Android devices and in low-bandwidth settings, Tangerine:Acuity will provide vital information to educators so they can maximize learning outcomes for students who are struggling but may not yet have been diagnosed as having vision loss.
Widely Applicable
Tangerine:Acuity can be used to screen individuals of any age, from pre-primary children through adulthood, and across sectors (in schools, health centers, well-child programs, and more) with minimal training and costs. Screening with Tangerine:Acuity takes approximately 2-3 minutes per person, can be conducted with minimal training, and is functional in low-bandwidth settings.
